Day 48 | Heart Rate Monitors


I’ve been at this now for nearly 7 weeks and I’ve lost 10 pounds (as of today).  I’m at a certain point in my lunar cycle where I’m retaining a bit o’ water, if you know what I mean.   So calling it a 10 pound loss is conservative.  It’s probably more like 12.  It’s not the 2 pounds a week I was hoping for, but it’s pretty close.
However, I am wondering what more I can do.  I’ve been considering getting a heart rate monitor to make sure I’m estimating my calories burned correctly.

I found this one on Amazon that looks interesting and has good reviews. It’s the Polar FT60.

It seems a bit pricey, but it does have a lot of cool features such as personalized training programs, and fitness tests. But do I really need all that stuff?
