Day 303 | Running Again Tomorrow

I am feeling so much better.  I have lost the extra weight that I gained from the surgery (phew!) and am back to where I’ve been.  I was dizzy for a few days but now am ready to start running again.

I’m up in the midcoast of Maine this weekend.  It’s cold but absolutely beautiful.  My run tomorrow will be along one of my favorite roads along the water.  I think I may even start at the beach and run along the sand for the first quarter mile.  I plan on doing somewhere between 3 and 4.5 miles, depending upon how I feel.

Next weekend I’m supposed to run another half marathon.  I signed up the Monday after the first half-marathon, in a state of post race euphoria.  I still plan on going but I wonder how much I’ll be able to run.  How long does prior training last?  I ran a half in mid-September.    How much has stuck with me and how much have I lost?  I guess I’ll find out next week.

For now, I’m just excited at the idea of running again tomorrow.

  1. Thanks Monika! I’m scared to death about the half marathon on Sunday since I have not trained at all. But I’m also very curious to know if I can do okay coasting on the training I did for the one in September.
